Steel, Polycarbonate, LED Lights
15 x 15 x 28 feet
“Electric Dandelions” by Liquid PXL is a monumental light sculpture that transforms the delicate form of a dandelion into a towering, luminous spectacle. Rising nearly 28 feet tall, these striking installations reinterpret a familiar flower at an architectural scale, blending organic inspiration with geometric precision. By day, their elegant silhouettes resemble giant blooms frozen mid-seed, standing gracefully against the sky.
Constructed from steel, translucent polycarbonate, and programmable LED elements, each sculpture is anchored by a geodesic sphere from which dozens of glowing light tubes radiate outward to form a blossom nearly 15 feet wide. As night falls, the structures come alive through animated light sequences that pulse and ripple outward, evoking the explosive beauty of fireworks and the gentle dispersal of dandelion seeds in the wind.
Blending nature, geometry, and digital illumination, “Electric Dandelions” transforms public space into a radiant field of light. Both playful and sophisticated, the installation captures a fleeting moment of natural beauty reimagined.
